Child labor or a labor of love

One of the greatest ways to have more time as a working mother is to get some help. Who can you get to help, the kids of cource providing they are over the diaper stage 🙂 I have seen it over and over again that parents run around trying to prepare lunches, get the kids ready and then try to get themselves prepared to start the work day. Meanwhile the kids are just hanging around waiting for their parents to get everything done. Dinner time is a big one. The kids whine and ask about dinner, when is it ready, whats for dinner, we are hungry etc. They will sit down for dinner without any forthought of the fact that there are no glasses or no butter. They wait rather than take initiative to help prepare the family meal. What about where are my clothes or can you wash my favorite sweater.
